A Month in Malaysia: The Clay House

Untitled

One of our greatest finds in Malacca was The Clay House. The traditional shop front opens out into the most idyllic studio, bathed in natural light and full of tropical plants, driftwood and ceramics. Here the very friendly and personable potter Leong works on his intricate designs which become tea light holders, tea cups and decorative orbs - all within the strictest neutral colour pallet.

If you ever find yourself in Malacca be sure to pop by.

  1. This studio was so inspiring! Seeing the tiny scraps of clay in that photo just shows how intricately he works. Great post x

  2. How wonderful! The pottery is absolutely beautiful, it reminds me of delicate lace..I'd love to see the shapes the tea light holders create once candles are lit inside :)
