I was probably the only child in rural Norfolk who was sent to school in black patent DM boots with rainbow coloured laces and yet I haven't worn the brand since, despite my enthusiasm for them as an eight-year old. I have tried on the brogue styles in recent years but always found they looked a little like clown shoes on my rather narrow feet. These Mary Janes, however, are part of a consciously lightweight selection of reworked original styles with thinner rubber soles and a narrower width. I think they'd be lovely paired with all sorts of tights and dresses and I would absolutely love a pair if Dr Marten happens to be listening!

i tried on shoes just like this in a pale pinky beige....i felt a bit too much like an aged wacky lady who runs an art gallery. but they are awesome in theory!!!
