Celery green coat

A sneak peak at my beautiful new coat I treated myself to this afternoon from Mod Human Vintage on Etsy. I've wanted a midcentury coat for so long but as it's quite tricky to find them in smaller sizes I thought I'd pounce now and stow it away for next winter. It's incredible what quality you really can afford when you buy vintage: when an acrylic coat with a viscose lining will set you back about £85 in Topshop, £38 really isn't too bad for real wool and satin. And if it's looking this good at approximately fifty-five years old, it's clearly built to last! Let's just hope celery green is my colour.

Have you acquired any beautiful vintage recently?

  1. I think the buttons are lovely. I'm a sucker for detail like that.

  7. I have a problem with buying coats off season. Just this morning I bought four heavy winter coats, but I just couldn't resist. When you see a deal you have to jump on it!
